Update: Information Discussed During 4:14 P.M. Briefing Regarding Search for James Kim

Search efforts continue tonight for JAMES KIM who last seen leaving the location where his vehicle was found by searcher Monday afternoon. The focus continues to be the Big Windy Creek Drainage about 30 miles west of Grants Pass north of Bear Camp Road. According to the Josephine County Sheriff's Office, this section of focus is a 5-mile long canyon and is about five miles from where the car was found.
 
The following information was discussed at the afternoon briefing:
 
* An article of clothing matching a description of a pair of pants reportedly worn by JAMES KIM when he left the car Saturday morning found on a steep slope in the area of foot prints.
 
* Something else was found that may be linked to KIM but this has not been confirmed what it is and if there is a connection.
 
* A member of the search team from Jackson County Sheriff's Office was injured today under yet-to-be-determined circumstances. His injuries are non-life threatening and he is being transported by helicopter to Rogue Valley Medical Center for treatment.
 
* A National Guard helicopter is planned to be used tonight to assist with the search. The helicopter is equipped with FLIR equipment.
 
* Another technical search crew is expected to arrive tomorrow to replace the Eugene Mountain Rescue Crew. Conditions are unsafe for some of the area to be searched tonight but searchers will be monitoring the Big Windy Creek Drainage tonight.
 
No media briefings are scheduled until Wednesday, December 6th, at 10:00 a.m. at the Merlin locaiton.
