Oregon State Athletic Commission - Federal ID
Mixed Martial Arts - Federal ID
OSAC Upcoming Changes for MMA

Dear Mixed Martial Arts Competitors,

During its recent Annual Convention, the Association of Boxing Commissions (ABC) approved of the creation of a national database to track the identity and competition records of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Competitors.

The ABC reviewed proposals submitted by companies interested in providing this service.  It was decided that Mixedmartialarts.com would be the official record keeper for the ABC Membership.

Mixedmartialarts.com will administrate the database and provide interested parties officially recognized fight records.  State Athletic Commissions are in the process of submitting prior fight results for inclusion in the database.  Some states have begun requiring that fighters be registered with the database prior to competition.  The database will include both amateur and professional MMA Competitors.  Registered fighters will receive an MMA Federal ID card.  Fighters will be required to present this card to the applicable athletic commission prior to competition.

Starting January 1st, 2009, a valid Federal ID card will be required to compete as an amateur or professional mixed martial arts fighter in Oregon.  Fighters are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

How to register:

To register with the OSAC, complete the application form found below.  Submit the completed form to the Commission either by mail, or in person.  The application must include a copy of two forms of legal identification (driver license, social security card, military identification, etc.) and a passport sized photo.  There is no fee required to register.  The Federal ID card will be valid for a period of five years.

The OSAC address is:
